Team 18241 OUTER GALAXY shines at the at 2023-24 Season New Jersey State Championship

3/17/2024: Outer Galaxy had a great performance at the NJ State Championship where the team ended up #2 after qualifying rounds and won Inspire 3 Award and Connect Award. They won 4 of their 5 matches and emerged as one of the top performing teams amongst the 182 teams that compete in the region. Girls ended the season on a very high note with their season performance being applauded by many FTC coaches and teams in the NJ region.

3/17/24: Outer Galaxy wins CONNECT AWARD at the NJ State Championship

Wins Connect Award, Inspire 2nd Runner-up Award and Finalist Alliance Captain Award

2/26/2024: Marlton based all-girls robotics team 18241 Outer Galaxy earned a spot into New Jersey State Championship of FIRST Tech Challenge competition to be held on March 17, 2024 by winning Inspire Award 2nd Runner-up, Connect Award and also a Finalist Alliance Captain Team. One of the top performing all-girls team in the region, they were ranked #1 team based on the Ranking Points and Tie Breaker Points for most of the season. New Jersey has 178 teams in the region with majority of these representing the local high schools. Team Outer Galaxy previously qualified in NJ State Championship during 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
Congratulations on advancing to the states for the third straight year. All the best team in the NJ State Championship on March 17.

Team Continues It's Dream Run at Clearview FTC Tournament in Mullica Hill with #1 rank and breaking the current state high score record with 189 points

12/16/2023: The girl power was at its best for Team Outer Galaxy at Clearview High School tournament on December 16. Team won 4 out of their 5 matches with a display of consistent autonomous run throughout the day. It was the last match for the team (Match #33) that brought out the best team work and collaboration skills. Team had to work with their alliance partner team 9848 Gearview so that they both adjust their autonomous paths in order to avoid robots clashing during the autonomous period of the game. These changes worked and the alliance were able to score an impressive 78 point auto and then went on to win the game with a New Jersey state record high score of 189.

OG girls also won the #1 ranked team award and shared the highest scoring alliance award with team 9848.


Outer Galaxy retains #1 spot and claims 3 awards at Williamstown FTC Tournament

12/3/2023: Another rocking performance by team Outer Galaxy in the FTC tournament held at Williamstown, NJ. Girls won all 5 of their matches at the event and scored 100+ in three of their matches. They won the #1 ranked team award, Highest Match Score by an Alliance award and Air Superiority award for the second time this season. Outer Galaxy along with their partner Team 9533 Bravenators clocked 164 high score for the day.


Outer Galaxy ranked #1 and bags four of the top awards at Farmingdale FTC Tournament

11/11/2023: Congratulations team for an outstanding performance at the Southern League Tournament (Meet) in Jersey Shore on November 11. Team Outer Galaxy is ranked #1 in the league after the conclusion of two tournaments for the season. We are very proud of all your efforts including team work, collaboration and last but not the least Gracious Professionalism. Team won 5 of their 6 matches at this tournament and grabbed four awards including Audacious Autonomous (for consistent autonomous), #1 Ranked Team Award, Highest Match Score by an Alliance Award and finally Air Superiority (for consistency in launching drone in end game).


Outer Galaxy qualifies into New Jersey State Championship in its second consecutive season

2/25/2023: Team Outer Galaxy has yet again shown that girls in STEM can do wonders when like-minded team members collaborate and excel together on & off the field. With excellent showing at all the season tournaments and leading up to the qualifying league tournament, Team 18241 performed well to qualify for their second NJ State Championship in a row. They also won the second highest award (INSPIRE AWARD runner up) and CONNECT AWARD. INSPIRE AWARD recognizes a role model team in both technical and non-technical areas. CONNECT AWARD recognizes team connection to the industry, professionals as well as outreach efforts.

Outer Galaxy wins HIGHEST ALLIANCE SCORE award and ranks #3 in Southern NJ League at Williamstown Tournament

12/4/2022: Outer Galaxy had a very good day at the Williamstown tournament on Dec 4, 2022 winning 4 out of their 5 qualification matches. Team achieved higest alliance score (143 points) for the day by winning match #23 against defending NJ State Champion team Enforcers.

Outer Galaxy advances to New Jersey State Championship in it's first in-person season

3/2/2022: Team Outer Galaxy competed in the League Tournament in the Deep South Conference finishing at rank #3 for the season. The team was also awarded THINK AWARD and qualified for the NJ State Championship. THINK AWARD which is given to the team that best reflects the journey the team took as they experienced the engineering design process during the build season. They had an impressive run in the league tournament with scores of 114, 182, 132, 133, 157, 151 and 141. The tournament was held at North Burlington County Middle School in Columbus, NJ. The State Championship will be held in Rockaway, NJ on March 6.

FTC 18241 boost their season ranking points at Clearview Regional School

12/18/2021: Team Outer Galaxy won 4 of their 5 games at the Clearview Regional School meet of the FTC. The team was able to boost their season ranking points with scores of 105, 68, 129, 168 and 136 in the 5 matches they played. The team is now ranked #4 in the league.

Outer Galaxy registers an impressive debut in-person performance at South Jersey Meet in Farmingdale, NJ

11/28/2021: Team Outer Galaxy won 5 of their 6 matches in their first in-person tournament. Galaxy girls along with their alliance partner re-ENFORCERS were also the highest scoring team of the day at the event with 160 points. Current standing of team 18241 can be seen below:

4/12/21: FTC 18241 (Outer Galaxy) had a great start to its rookie season finishing at rank #12 in South Jersey division. Team is proud to have built three different versions of the robot during the season.
